Summer Camp Options Available at Nicholls

THIBODAUX — Registration is now open at Nicholls State University’s Office of Continuing Education for dozens of camp options that can keep your kids engaged and active all summer long.

Whether you’re looking for all-day care for your children this summer, or just something to get them out of the house for a few hours, Nicholls offers everything from art camps to sports camps. Options include daylong camps for the entire summer as well as weeklong camps to customize your child’s summer schedule.

Scheduled for this year are academic camps focused on enrichment and science; athletic camps for basketball, baseball, fitness, karate, volleyball and other sports; a chess camp; and creative camps centered on art, magic tricks and theater. All camps are taught by certified teachers and professionals in their field.

New this year is the Kids in the Kitchen culinary camp, featuring weeklong sessions with registered dietitians and Nicholls dietetics faculty that teach your kids to prepare healthy and delicious meals. This year also features the new Colonel Camper EXTREME program for kids with extra energy to burn, a summer-long program packed with wall-to-wall sports and activities that will keep campers busy from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
