THIBODAUX — Super Bowl champions Peyton and Eli Manning and some of the nation’s top collegiate quarterbacks will demonstrate their skills during the 2014 2014 Iberia Bank Air-It-Out and Papa John’s Quarterback Challenge at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 12 in John L. Guidry Stadium at Nicholls State University.
Last year, over 40 collegiate and professional quarterbacks took part in the star-studded competition, including NFL draft picks Teddy Bridgewater, AJ McCarron and Aaron Murray.
The event is being held in conjunction with the 19th annual Manning Passing Academy. Now in its 10th year at Nicholls, the prestigious Manning Passing Academy employs top professional and collegiate coaches and players as counselors. The four-day camp attracts more than 1,000 high school players to Nicholls each year.
Gates at Guidry Stadium will open at 5:30 p.m. for the event. Tickets for the Air-It-Out competition are available at the Nicholls athletics website, geauxcolonels.com, for $12 until midnight on Friday, July 11, and for $15 afterward. All proceeds from the Air-It-Out session directly support the Nicholls athletics department.
