THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls State University invites you to join us in supporting our international student community at the 10th annual International Student Banquet at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12 in the Cotillion Ballroom.
This year’s fundraiser is themed, “The World Awaits” and features unique cuisine and vibrant entertainment from cultures rooted in countries across the globe.
“This is the premier event to showcase our international students,” said Marilyn Gonzalez, director of International Student Services. “These students contribute in so many ways to the Nicholls campus, not only in athletics but with diverse perspectives in the classroom.”
Tickets are $8 for students and $28 for adults and can be purchased at 2017 International Banquet Tickets or by calling 449-7038. Tickets will not be available at the door.
Proceeds from the banquet will pay for scholarships for international students.
“My philosophy is that we’re more alike than we’re different and the banquet allows us to paint the picture of how we want to see the world, as a melting pot of people sharing experiences and enjoying each other’s company,” Gonzalez said.
