Eat Seafood and Support Student-Athletes at Seafood Extravaganza


THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls State University Athletics will host the 19th Annual Seafood Extravaganza presented by Bubba’s II Po-Boys at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 in the recently renovated Cotillion Ballroom at the Donald G. Bollinger Memorial Student Union.

Guests will dine on all-you-can-eat, delicious seafood, including lobster, crawfish, shrimp and more. Food is provided by the Office of Louisiana Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser and prepared by Bubba’s II Po-Boys. Owner Neal Swanner recently received the Alumni Federation Harvey Peltier Award given annually to an outstanding supporter of the university. Swanner has been a prominent supporter of Nicholls Athletics.

In between platters, there will be a live and silent auction featuring unique items including Nicholls sports memorabilia. Proceeds go toward scholarships for student-athletes.

Ticket options range from a single ticket for $100 and 10 tickets for $900.

Sponsorship opportunities include the $1,500 Crawfish Sponsorship that comes with 10 tickets, recognition during the event and company name listed in the program; and the $2,000 King Crab Sponsorship, which includes 10 tickets, a chance to sit with a Nicholls head coach or athlete, recognition during the event and on the website and the company name listed in the program. Presenting Sponsors, which costs $5,000, includes 10 tickets, an opportunity to sit with a Nicholls head coach or athlete, company recognition during the event, company logo on the program, on the table tents, on the website and social media posts.
