Test Your Knowledge, Raise Money in Trivia Fundraiser

THIBODAUX, La. — If you are looking to test your sometimes somewhat useful knowledge then Nicholls State University has a challenge for you. The third annual Big Bayou Trivia Bash will test your wits against others while raising money to support students.

Teams will compete in the Cotillion Ballroom in the Student Union at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12. Proceeds will benefit the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Sciences and Technology by supporting scholarships, student technology upgrades and support for high-impact learning practices.

Teams of 2-6 players can sign up at $30 per individual for a chance to win cash or consolation prizes.

Teams will compete against one another in answering 10 categories of questions, including History, Sports, Entertainment and Louisiana. Additionally, the evening of fun will include some special brain buster challenges, which are more complicated questions for extra points.

During the event, individuals may also bid on donated silent auction items including rare books and sports memorabilia. Food will be served.

To sign up, call 985-448-4386 or trivia@nicholls.edu.
