THIBODAUX, La. — The Nicholls State University online English program is one of the best in the country according to a new ranking by OnlineCourseReport.com.
Nicholls ranked No. 2 and is the only school in Louisiana to make the top 10 list.
The website factored graduation rate, affordability, student-to-faculty ratio and accreditation in the rankings.
“This ranking says that our program offers academic excellence at an affordable price,” said Dr. Michele Theriot, College of Liberal Arts assistant dean. “Nicholls is meeting students where they are at without sacrificing quality.”
The online English program offered through Nicholls Online has four concentrations:
- creative writing
- literary studies
- film studies
- writing and rhetoric.
