THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls State University’s master of science in nursing degree ranked No. 4 in NPSchools.com’s Most Affordable Online Nurse Practitioner Programs.
Nicholls’ was one of 30 schools ranked in the list. NPSchools.com database includes more than 700 online programs.
Besides affordability, the rankings consider admissions flexibility, accreditation and program variety.
Each degree path requires less than 5 campus visits with other coursework completed online.
Nicholls has three MSN concentrations, with two of them being nurse practitioner programs. They are Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
The programs provide a curriculum to prepare graduates for opportunities in healthcare. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median pay for Nurse Practitioners is $107,030.
