Public Interviews for Vice President for Student Affairs Position to Begin Monday

THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls State University announced four finalists for Vice President for Student Affairs and will hold public interviews over the next week. 

The four finalists will be interviewed in Shaver Gym: 

  • Dr. Michele Caruso, Nicholls interim vice president for student affairs and dean of students, at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9. 
  • Dr. Brandon Frye, associate vice president for academic engagement and student affairs and dean of students at the University of West Florida, at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
  • Dr. RoShaun Bailey, assistant vice for student affairs and campus life at Mississippi Valley State University, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11. 
  • Dr. Wynde Fitts, assistant vice president for student connections at the University of Southern Mississippi at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12. 

“We’re excited to welcome these candidates to our campus and learn more about their plans for student life at Nicholls, and to hear back from our campus community,” said Dr. Alex Arceneaux, executive vice president for advancement and enrollment services and chair of the search committee. “I believe this is a very talented pool of finalists from across the Southeast, and I am confident we will find the best fit for our students and our university.” 

A search committee comprising staff, student, faculty and senior leadership met over the last few months to convene the search committee, screen candidates, perform initial interviews and recommend finalists.

The search committee will make a recommendation to Nicholls President Dr. Jay Clune once all final interviews have been conducted and public comments have been received.
