THIBODAUX, La. — The Nicholls State University Ceramics Club will host their annual Christmas Pottery Sale fundraiser this week with modifications for COVID-19.
Alumni, student and faculty artists will have hand-crafted pottery, jewelry and prints for sale in the Cotillion Ballroom. Pottery includes bowls, pitchers, trays, mugs, platters and containers.
Visitors must maintain 6-feet social distancing, wear a mask and have their temperature checked when they enter the building. Only 75 shoppers will be allowed in the ballroom at a time.
The popular fundraiser will open from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3 and Friday, Dec. 4.
Proceeds generated from the event are used to buy studio equipment, host guest artists and support student awards.
