Louisiana-Lafayette Professor to Present Printmaking Exhibit at Nicholls Art Gallery

THIBODAUX, La. — A Louisiana printmaking artist is showcasing 15 years of work in the Nicholls Art Gallery.

Brian Kelly, head of the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, will exhibit his work until Feb. 25 in 111 Talbot Hall. 

“Brian Kelly: 15 years of Prints 2005-2020” will take you on a journey into the unknown. His work draws on influences from environments in Louisiana, Utah, New Mexico, Montana and Colorado. He personifies animal forms as characters within these narrative events to speak about personal and social issues.

Kelly has exhibited, organized, juried and held workshops throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. 

Hours for the gallery are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The gallery is free and open to the public.
