THIBODAUX, La. — The Nicholls State University College of Business Administration is excited to announce the addition of online and hybrid Master of Business Administration pathways.

Starting Jan. 2022, the new online degree pathway will offer working professionals and other distance learners a new means of earning their MBA.

Additionally, students may choose a hybrid format to their degree that includes both evening and online courses. This approach allows students to schedule classes according to their individual needs.

Online courses will combine recorded lectures, discussion groups and live sessions between students and their professors.

Ray Peters, MBA director and professor of leadership, said the online program shares the same faculty, curriculum and support team as the evening and executive formats.

“As we introduce these new pathways, students can be assured that they are receiving instruction from the same outstanding professors who have built the Nicholls MBA brand,” Peters said. “Furthermore, our program is fully accredited by AACSB, the gold standard for business school accreditation.”

Also, beginning in 2022, the evening, hybrid and online MBA courses will be taught in two 8-week terms within each semester, with two courses taught face-to-face and two taught online. Courses will be scheduled, taking into consideration the designed course progressions. With five terms in an academic year, students could complete their MBA in as little as 12 months.

The MBA curriculum consists of ten required courses, focusing on business analysis and decision support.

“The online MBA program allows the College of Business Administration to meet the needs of working professionals who increasingly seek greater flexibility as it pertains to timing and place of coursework,” said Dr. Luke Cashen, professor of strategy.

Course content within the Nicholls MBA is integrated across disciplines, forming an organic whole. Each course serves as a “building block” to achieving our singular product – a high-quality MBA.

“Similar to our traditional and EMBA pathways, our online and hybrid MBA pathways will have the confluence of outstanding quality and excellent price, making for an outstanding value proposition,” Peters adds. For more information on the Nicholls MBA program, call 985-448-4241 or visit nicholls.edu/mba.
