THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls honors 50 undergraduates and graduates who were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at an event held in the Student Union with keynote speaker Dr. Abigail Peralta, Assistant Professor of Economics at LSU. The 48th Initiation Ceremony was one of the first in-person events since the pandemic began, and the organization invited the spring 2021 initiates to be a part of the event as well.
Nicholls Phi Kappa Phi Chapter Vice President Meagan Rousse said, “It was a wonderful ceremony and a nice way to finish off the semester. I love being a part of an organization that values learning as much as I do. It’s truly an honor to be recognized for my hard work here at Nicholls. I’m looking forward to serving as one of the three Vice Presidents this year and cannot wait to see our organization grow.”
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective multidisciplinary collegiate honor society and initiates approximately 25,000 members a year on more than 325 campuses in the United States, its territories and the Philippines.
Phi Kappa Phi is a global network of the best and brightest with a community of scholars and professionals building an enduring legacy for all generations. Its mission is “to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and engage the community of scholars in service to others.”
