THIBODAUX, La. — Due to a very unfortunate circumstance involving the Northwestern State University football team, the Nicholls football game and annual Family Day festivities scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, have been canceled.
On behalf of Nicholls State University, we would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Northwestern State University community, especially their football team, who tragically lost one of their teammates in the early hours this morning.
The Family Day football game is a longstanding tradition at Nicholls, but we must be respectful of the loss Northwestern State University is experiencing.
