THIBODAUX, La. – Applications are now open for the BRI’s Bayou Region Pitch Night 2025. Entrepreneurs from Assumption, Lafourche, Terrebonne, St. Mary and St. James Parish are encouraged to apply whether they have a business idea or an established business venture ready for the next step.
Businesses of all types are encouraged to apply whether they work in tech, food, retail or something unique. The competition features two rounds – Stage 1 for entrepreneurs in the idea phase of business development and Stage 2 for entrepreneurs with an established business and looking to expand. Each pitch contestant is given five minutes to deliver their pitch and answer judges’ questions.
Awards typically include business cash and BRI membership vouchers for continued startup business support at the BRI, including coworking space, workshops, trainings, printing, meeting rooms, internet and more. This year’s grand prize is $10,000 and a BRI voucher. Ticket sales to attend the BRI Pitch Night will be available soon.
Important dates regarding the event are as follows:
- Jan. 26: Applications close at 11:59 p.m.
- Feb. 28: Finalist notification
- March – April: Support workshops for finalists
- April 22-23: Mandatory pitch rehearsals
- April 24: Bayou Region Pitch Night, 5 – 9 p.m. at 203 West Second St. in downtown Thibodaux
