THIBODAUX, La. – Colonel Esports’ Super Smash Bros. Ultimate B Team won the gold medal in the National Esports Collegiate Conference Division V Championship. In addition, the organization launched its official merchandise fundraiser.
Colonel Esports’ Super Smash Bros. Ultimate B Team Won Gold
Colonel Esports’ Super Smash Bros. Ultimate B Team won the gold medal in the National Esports Collegiate Conference Division V Championship. This is the first championship any of Colonel Esports’ Super Smash Bros. teams have won, ending the season with a standout performance.
The Championship Match pitted the Colonels against Florida Polytechnic University’s FLPoly Phoenixes. Nicholls’ championship-winning team consisted of the following students: Jordan Liner, Skye Roberts, Ethan Romero, Idrissa Maiga and Marlon Dennis.
The NECC’s mission is to foster innovative competition experiences, provide quality broadcasting services and support an inclusive community within collegiate esports. Colonel Esports Launched Official Merchandise Fundraiser
Colonel Esports launched its official merchandise fundraiser, allowing fans, families and community supporters to gear up while directly supporting the organization.
The fundraiser features a range of Colonel Esports apparel and accessories like hoodies, sweatshirts, tumbler cups and other branded gear. A percentage of the profits will help fund the organization’s numerous needs from tournament travel and equipment upgrades to team development for the upcoming season. Colonel Esports is an organization dedicated to the gaming community and competitive gaming. The organization encourages those interested in competing and those interested in learning how an esports team operates to participate in the club. Colonel Esports currently has two teams for its college Call of Duty league. The organization is always seeking players and students who want to gain leadership skills and assist with coaching new teams as it looks towards expansion.
