THIBODAUX, La. – Nicholls State University will host its ninth annual Give-N-Day on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. This annual 24-hour online fundraising effort brings together Colonels everywhere in support of the students, programs and organizations that make Nicholls special.
Jeremy Becker, chief advancement officer and executive director of the Nicholls Foundation, said, “Give-N-Day has become one of the university’s most impactful traditions. It’s all about bringing the Nicholls community together to invest in our students and the programs that help them succeed. When alumni, friends and supporters come together for this one day, the impact can be felt across the entire university.”
Becker encourages supporters to help build excitement leading up to the event.
“Everyone is encouraged to help spread the word,” he said. “Share it with friends, tag your classmates and support the organizations that meant the most to you during your time at Nicholls. Participation is what makes Give-N-Day so special.”
Since its launch in 2018, Give-N-Day has raised more than $1.4 million to support initiatives across campus. What began as a simple way to help campus groups raise funds and connect with alumni, friends and supporters has grown into a campus-wide effort involving colleges, departments, student organizations and athletics. In 2025 alone, the campaign generated more than $270,000 through over 2,300 donations from 1,750 donors.
Advanced giving is already underway, allowing supporters to make their gift ahead of the official day of giving.
Donations can be made now or during the 24-hour event between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on March 10 by visiting givenday.org, where supporters can explore participating organizations and choose where their gift will make an impact.
