Students praise Nicholls in national survey
THIBODAUX – The results of the 2010 National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) overwhelmingly indicate satisfaction among first-year students and seniors at Nicholls State University.
Nicholls nursing seniors to receive disaster training
THIBODAUX – A group of 32 senior nursing students enrolled in the Community Health Nursing course at Nicholls State University are scheduled to participate in on-campus disaster training Wednesday, Nov. 10.
Benefactor of Nicholls honors program recognized
R. E. “Bob” Miller, business owner from Morgan City, La., and longtime benefactor of the University Honors Program at Nicholls State University, received an award of recognition from honors students Monday, Nov. 1, at the Nicholls Foundation semiannual meeting and dinner on campus.
Nicholls to honor veterans
THIBODAUX – Paying tribute to all veterans past and present, Nicholls State University will host a Veterans Day ceremony in the campus quadrangle at noon Thursday, Nov. 11. The public is encouraged to attend.

Dr. Betty Kleen, Distinguished Service Professor of Information Systems and director of university graduate studies, received Nicholls State University’s Academic Council Salutes award for October 2010.
Nicholls Hall of Distinction to honor athletics boosters
THIBODAUX – Nominations for the third class of the Hall of Distinction at Nicholls State University are now open. Individuals or groups nominated must have promoted, enhanced or elevated the state of intercollegiate Nicholls athletics and been instrumental in the role that athletics plays in the lives of student athletes.
