Alumnus Gavin Johnson accepts Faculty Position at Christian Brothers University, Memphis

English, Modern Languages, & Cultural Studies alumnus Gavin Johnson (BA 2013) has accepted a tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of English (Digital Rhetoric/Communications) at Christian Brothers University in Memphis starting in in the Fall of 2020.

While at Nicholls, Mr. Johnson served as SGA Vice President, presented his undergraduate work at the inaugural Humanities Symposium in 2012, and wrote and defended a thesis as part of the Nicholls Honors Program. After graduating from Nicholls, Johnson attended North Carolina State University where he earned his MA in 2015. Johnson then moved on to The Ohio State University for his Ph.D. course work and dissertation. He is scheduled to receive his Ph.D. at the end of the spring 2020 semester from The Ohio State University.
