The Nicholls Players will perform the Greek tragedy, “Oedipus the King,†at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, through Saturday, Oct. 27, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, in Talbot Theater on the campus of Nicholls State University. “Oedipus the King,†by Sophocles, is the story of a man who is destined to kill his father and marry his mother. Fate, free will and family relationships are explored in this version of the play, adapted by Dr. Myron Tuman, professor of English, and directed by Dr. Stanley Coleman, assistant professor of speech and theater.
