THIBODAUX – With the approach of the tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico, the Nicholls State University Emergency Preparedness Committee has initiated a Phase I Alert in accordance with the 2010 Hurricane Emergency Plan, posted at https://emergency.www.nicholls.edu.
Nicholls personnel have been advised to refer to the Phase I paragraph on page 2 of the Hurricane Emergency Plan and enact the Phase I procedures established for their departments.
The Emergency Preparedness Committee will continue to monitor the speed and path of the storm and will take additional action if necessary. The university community will be notified if Phase II storm preparations are implemented.
