THIBODAUX – Four-term Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards will join Dr. Christopher E. Cenac Sr., Houma physician, for a book-signing and dinner program on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Nicholls State University. Hosted by the Nicholls Foundation, the event will benefit the Ellender Memorial Library Archives.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Edwards and Cenac will be available in the first-floor archives section of the library for a reception. Books to be signed at this time include “Eyes of an Eagle: Jean-Pierre Cenac, Patriarch – An Illustrated History of Early Houma-Terrebonne,” by Cenac, and “Edwin Edwards: Governor of Louisiana – An Authorized Biography,” by Leo Honeycutt.
Following the book-signing, guests will move to the Cotillion Ballroom of the Bollinger Memorial Student Union for dinner and a program, slated for 7 p.m. Edwards will deliver the keynote address, preceded by Eric Paulsen, WWL-TV anchor, and filmmaker Glen Pitre.
