Four-term Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards joined Dr. Christopher E. Cenac Sr., Houma physician, for a book-signing and dinner program on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Nicholls State University.
Hosted by the Nicholls Foundation, the event benefited the Ellender Memorial Library Archives. Books that were signed included “Eyes of an Eagle: Jean-Pierre Cenac, Patriarch – An Illustrated History of Early Houma-Terrebonne,” by Cenac, and “Edwin Edwards: Governor of Louisiana – An Authorized Biography,” by Leo Honeycutt. More than 150 people attended the benefit.
