Entrepreneurship event slated for May 3-4 in Baton Rouge

THIBODAUX – The Louisiana Center for Women and Government, headquartered at Nicholls State University, seeks registrants for the Louisiana Women’s Leaders Conference on Small Business Entrepreneurship, slated for Thursday, May 3, and Friday, May 4, at the Renaissance Hotel in Baton Rouge.

Keynote speakers include Joan Lunden, former host of “Good Morning America” and bestselling author; Moira Forbes, publisher of Forbes Woman; and Dr. Sam Bacharach, professor at Cornell University, director of the Bacharach Leadership Group and bestselling author. U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu and Wendy Vitter, wife of U.S. Sen. David Vitter, will serve as honorary co-chairs.

The purpose of the conference is to empower women who seek information that will lead to economic wellbeing. Keynote speakers will offer insight into organizational political competence, personal reinvention and non-traditional business opportunities. Breakout sessions will focus on legal, credit, financial and technology issues.
