THIBODAUX – Attorneys, certified public accountants, insurance agents, business owners and other financial professionals are invited to attend The Estate and Business Planning Institute, sponsored by the Nicholls State University College of Business Administration and slated for Wednesday, May 23, in the Powell Hall auditorium.
The conference will feature expert presentations designed to teach area professionals about critical issues pertaining to the preservation and transfer of wealth in today’s changing financial environment. Presenters will include Todd M. Villarrubia and Ronald M. “Chip” Morrison Jr., both board-certified estate and administration attorneys; J. Gary Underwood, consultant with New York Life; Wayne E. Thomas, chartered life underwriter, chartered financial consultant and accredited estate planner; and Charles C. Theriot, certified public accountant.
Attorneys who attend can earn up to 6.5 continuing legal education credit hours, and certified public accountants who attend can earn up to eight continuing professional education credit hours. Insurance agents who attend can earn up to eight hours of continuing education credit in general insurance principles.

Registration is $250 for the entire conference or $150 for the morning or afternoon sessions, which begin at 7:45 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
