Dr. Michael Chiasson, head of the Department of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems at Nicholls State University, was awarded the Presidential Award for Academic Administrator Excellence – the highest honor a Nicholls administrator can receive – at the first faculty meeting of the fall 2012 semester, held Thursday, Aug. 16.
The award, which comes with a certificate and a $1,000 salary increase, recognizes an outstanding, full-time department head with at least five years of administrative service.
