Nicholls Offering Branded Facemasks

THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls State University has partnered with Three Stitches Embroidery to create university-branded facemasks so that the community can practice good social distancing and show off their Colonel Pride.

Facemasks can be purchased at Three Stitches in the Plaza Del Rienzi Shopping Center on N. Canal Blvd. in Thibodaux from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. The facemasks can also be ordered online at https://threestitches.net/ts_landing_page/shop/product-detail/1003456.

“Early on in the pandemic, people started asking if they could get Nicholls facemasks, which speaks to the level of Colonel Pride that our community has,” said Jerad David, director of communications and university branding. “We are happy to partner with a local company like Three Stitches to offer Nicholls facemasks to not only help protect the community but also provide financial assistance to our students who have been impacted the most.”

The Centers Disease Control and Prevention recommend wearing face coverings when out in public to slow the spread of COVID-19. Many virus carriers do not show symptoms, but they are still contagious for about two weeks, according to the CDC.

Part of the sales will help the Nicholls State University Emergency Fund. Money from the Emergency Fund is being used to help students affected by the virus by supporting technology needs and Mom’s Pantry on campus.
