THIBODAUX, La. – Nicholls State University’s scholarship fundraising event Bon Vin: An A+ Wine Tasting is set to take place on Friday, Oct. 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Danos Corporate Headquarters, the event’s host sponsor, with catering to be provided by the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. Dr. Jody Plaisance, owner and operator of Cuvée, will serve as the event sommelier. All proceeds will assist Nicholls students, many of whom rely on scholarship funds to attend the university.
“Scholarships play a vital role in empowering students to achieve their educational and professional aspirations, ultimately fostering lifelong success and reinvestment in their communities. We are deeply grateful to our community partners for their invaluable support in funding scholarships for deserving students, helping to alleviate financial barriers on their academic journeys,” said Lacey Hoffpauir Crochet, Nicholls chief innovation officer.
Premier Cru tickets are $125 each. Attendees will enjoy an all-inclusive wine and food tasting, with bottles of wine available for purchase, and receive a commemorative Bon Vin etched wine glass. Grand Cru tickets, which include a one-hour pre-event exclusive sommelier-hosted wine tasting with food pairings, are $250, with only 30 tickets available. In addition, this year’s beverage offerings will include an artisanal craft beer pavilion. All tickets can be purchased at www.nicholls.edu/bon-vin.
Sponsorships for the event are available here, ranging from the exclusive Summa Cum Laude Presenting Sponsor at $15,000, which creates an endowed scholarship in the donor’s name, to the $1,000 Dean’s List sponsorship. Each sponsorship level includes ticket packages, reserved parking and sponsor recognition on all event programming and displays.
