THIBODAUX, La. – Bon Vin: An A+ Wine Tasting is set to take place on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Coastal Center at Nicholls State University. This will be one of the Center’s first public events since its construction, offering attendees an opportunity to be some of the first to experience the state-of-the-art facility.
Catering will be provided by the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute, and Dr. Jody Plaisance will serve as the event sommelier. Cuvée will serve as a retail sponsor, supplying wine for the event.
All profits from this event will support Nicholls student scholarships. In addition, Cuvée will donate the profits of all wine sales to Nicholls.
“Bon Vin is more than just an evening of exceptional wine, delicious hors d’oeuvres and great company. It’s a chance for the community and Nicholls supporters to make a real impact on student success. Guests can sample a wide selection of carefully curated wines, all available for purchase, and these sales are absolutely essential to the success of the event and the support of the Nicholls General Student Scholarship Fund. Come ready to sip, savor and shop for a cause because your perfect pour could be the key to shaping the future of Nicholls,” said Lacey Hoffpauir, Nicholls chief innovation officer.
Premier Cru tickets are $75 each. Attendees will enjoy an all-inclusive wine and food tasting, with bottles of wine available for purchase, and receive a commemorative Bon Vin etched wine glass. Grand Cru tickets, which include a one-hour, pre-event with an exclusive sommelier-hosted wine tasting and food pairing, are $150, with only 40 tickets available.
All tickets can be purchased at www.nicholls.edu/bon-vin.
Sponsorships for the event are available here, and each sponsorship level includes ticket packages, reserved parking and recognition on all event programming and displays. For more information, contact emily.bourgeois@nicholls.edu or call 985-448-4071.
