Students enrolled in Nicholls State University’s Environmental Diagnostics and Biomarkers course traveled to Grand Isle School on Tuesday, Jan. 17, and Wednesday, Jan. 18, to teach second and third graders the importance of preserving one of the last surviving barrier islands in Louisiana.
Sponsored by The Nature Conservancy, the service-learning project will continue annually at the request of Jean Landry, Nature Conservancy director for Grand Isle.
