THIBODAUX -The music faculty of the School of Fine Arts at Nicholls State University will present Nocturne, a recital benefiting music scholarships, on Friday, April 4.

THIBODAUX – World-renowned pianist Leon Bates will visit Nicholls State University this week to deliver a lecture, conduct a master class and perform a concert – all at Talbot Theater.

THIBODAUX – Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, president of Nicholls State University, pledged alongside other University of Louisiana System presidents Thursday, March 27, to address Louisiana’s workforce needs by targeting a substantial number of new graduates each year in some of the state’s critical shortage areas.

The consumer-oriented “College Portraits” contain such information as tuition, degree offerings and campus safety.

THIBODAUX – Julie Hebert, a Nicholls State University graduate and writer/director for theater, film and television, will headline the 2008 Bonnie J. Bourg Lecture Series and Luncheon, slated for Thursday, April 3.

THIBODAUX – The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities has chosen Dr. J. Paul Leslie, professor of history at Nicholls State University, to receive the LEH’s Individual Achievement in the Humanities Award.
