Transfer Scholarships

Transfer scholarships are available to students admitted to the university with at least 18, but no more than 90, transferable credit hours and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

To be considered, you’ll need to:

  • Apply for admission
  • Submit all transcripts from previous schools (including any dual enrollment not taken at Nicholls)
  • Be admitted for consideration by
    • July 31st if your intention is to begin in the fall semester
    • January 15th if your intention is to begin in the spring semester

Students awarded a transfer scholarship must earn at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher to continue receiving the award for the second semester. Failure to meet either requirement may result in the loss of the scholarship.

Students returning to Nicholls do not qualify.  This scholarship is not open to those who have already earned a bachelor’s degree.  Transfer students must be eligible to return to their previous school(s).

Transfer scholarship awards are based on the admissions record and academic information on file at the time of admission. Students who believe their admissions record did not include all eligible academic information may request a scholarship reevaluation by August 15 for fall admits or January 31 for spring admits.
