The scholarships below are available for the Fall 2025 semester.
Applications should be submitted no later than the close of business on the deadline date noted in the scholarship description. If the application is not available online, you can pick up a copy of the application in the Scholarship Office, or you can email brandy.stpierre@nicholls.edu for a copy. Students who have received other scholarships/awards, have extra-curricular involvement, or are members of campus or community organizations may submit or upload a copy of their student activities resume.
The Danny LeBlanc Scholarship is awarded to students of junior status in a food-service related concentration, in honor of Danny LeBlanc, who was a Dietetics student at Nicholls State University. This scholarship awards $500 to the applicant selected by the AHSC Scholarship Committee who demonstrates leadership qualities in the area of nutrition and food service. The deadline to apply is August 22, 2025.
The Kennedi Foret Marine Biology Undergraduate Scholarship is open to students who are graduates of a Lafourche Parish High School who are currently enrolled as a full-time student at Nicholls State University. Students must be a Biology major with a concentration in Marine Biology. Applicants must be of Sophomore, Junior, or Senior classification with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Please complete the application here. The deadline to apply is September 8, 2025.
THE LAUREN LAPEYROUSE GUIDRY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $750]: The Thibodaux Service League will award a scholarship to a full-time student at Nicholls State University majoring in Education. The recipient must be involved in Greek Life and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. The scholarship of $1,500 ($750 per semester) will be awarded for two consecutive semesters to a student who demonstrates financial need. To maintain the scholarship for the second semester, the student must be enrolled full-time and must maintain their minimum 3.0 GPA. The applicant must supply a resume or letter explaining their passion for education. DEADLINE TO APPLY – August 22, 2025. THE LESLIE ELAINE GUEDRY MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP will be awarded to a full time student of Junior, Senior, or Graduate classification. The student must have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Applicants must be graduates of either Ascension Catholic or Assumption High School. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Communicative Disorders in preparation for employment in the field of Speech Pathologist or Audiologist and/or for graduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology. THE SCOTT-VICKNAIR LAW FIRM SCHOLARSHIP [1@ $1000 for one year]: is awarded to a full-time student at Nicholls State University originally from Lafourche Parish. The recipient may be of any classification. The recipient must have an interest in Law, either as a major or interest academically. Students must submit an essay of no more than 750 words explaining what experiences in their life, current events, or issues from history that had an impact on their interest in law. The essay, which must include the student’s name, Nicholls ID number and Nicholls email address, must be returned to the Scholarship Office in Candies Hall or by email to brandy.stpierre@nichollse.du The deadline to apply is September 1, 2025.
