B.A., Evergreen State College;
M.A., Ph.D., Louisiana State University

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Robin White and her co-editor and co-translator, Dr. Joe Johnson, recently published
Friendship and Devotion, or Three Months in Louisiana by Camille Lebrun. This University Press of Mississippi translation appeared in 2021. Friendship and Devotion is a young adult novel dealing with19th-century Louisiana, gender, race, ethnicity, and discrimination.

BIO:

Robin is a native of Pittsburgh, and has spent time on the West Coast, Europe, and West Africa. She moved to Louisiana in order to complete a doctoral program in French Studies at LSU. She considers herself lucky to work in Thibodaux here in Loufourche Parish where she is surrounded by French every day.
