This concentration focuses on children’s & young adult literature and the ways they work within society. We look at themes, issues and genres. We have even created a course on teaching children’s and young adult literature. This newest concentration and its related courses went into effect in the Fall semester 2020.
COURSES:
ENGL 212 or 213, ENGL 318, 319, and 406, and 6 hours from ENGL 318*, 319*, 325**, 326, 340**, 430**, 440**, or 476**.
*These courses may be repeated for up to six credit hours when course content differs.
**These courses may count toward the concentration when the themes are relevant to Children’s and Young Adult Literature.
