The Literary Studies Concentration focuses on the study of narrative text including stories, novels, and creative nonfiction, as well as other texts, such as poetry, graphic novels, and new media.
English 313 or 314; 315 and 316; 321 and 322 are required courses for all English majors and do not count toward the Literary Studies Concentration. Students must take 15 hours of literature electives and 3 hours covering pre-19th century (see below). At least 12 hours must be 300-400 level courses.
Choose 3 hours from: 307, 451, 482, or 471.
