Summary
This position will support the Church Based Health Intervention to Eliminate Racial Inequalities in Cardiovascular Health (CHERISH) study by developing and executing community engagement activities for church and participant recruitment and retention. The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) is responsible for managing and supporting community-based outreach and engagement activities and building capacity for sustainable community collaborations focused on improving the health of underserved communities. The candidate utilizes knowledge of the community and relationships with local community partners to assist in the management and execution of the CHERISH study aimed at minimizing health disparities and optimizing health and wellness for all community members. Utilizes social media and similar platforms to enhance distribution of services and educational materials. This position will also support the CHERISH study on various administrative tasks as needed.

Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in public health, health education, community health education, communications, psychology, social work, or other related field.
- Two years of experience
