Summary
With supervision from the Manager, this position conceptualizes and executes all marketing activities of the independent program of A Studio in the Woods (ASITW). This position also implements public programming, including artist events, nature programs, fundraisers, summer camp, and an annual festival, and completes special projects under the direction of the ASITW leadership team.
A Studio in the Woods is a program of the ByWater Institute located on 7.66 acres of protected forest on the Mississippi River in Lower Coast Algiers. A Studio in the Woods is dedicated to forest preservation, science-inspired art engagement, and providing a retreat for artists and scholars who are tackling the challenging issues of our time with imagination and power.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of individuals at all levels.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office computer packages, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.
- Working knowledge of communication social media platforms such as Mail Chimp, WordPress, Facebook, Instagram etc.
- Willing to work in a rustic, natural environment 25 minutes from downtown New Orleans.
- Ability to work weekend and evening hours as necessary.
- Working knowledge of event coordination.
- Ability to attend conferences.

Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a non-specific field of study and 2 years of directly related work experience.
- Strong interest in the arts and/or environment.

- Experience with the local, regional or non-profit communities.

Compensation Information
