What is sociology?
Sociology is the scientific study of human societies and social behavior. Sociologists

small group interactions to large-scale organizations, social institutions, communities,
and entire societies. Sociologists examine how social processes and structures shape
human lives, and are shaped by human actions in contemporary society.
