The BK Scholars Program is the Foundation’s flagship program, established to honor the legacy of the Burger King brand’s co-founder James W. McLamore, whose commitment to philanthropy and education made him a pillar of community service throughout his lifetime. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $60,000 and are intended to offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected through an application process that takes into consideration their grade point average (GPA), work experience, extracurricular activities, financial need and community service. The Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), is a unique education and workforce development opportunity for aspiring leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The SMART Scholarship Program offers two scholarship opportunities, the SMART Scholarship and the Ronald V. Dellums Memorial SMART Scholarship (Dellums SMART Scholarship). The SMART Scholarship is for students currently enrolled at a college or university or with previous college credit.  The Dellums SMART Scholarship is for students with no previous college credit who intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Louisiana Garden Club Federation and its member clubs provide 10 scholarships each year to deserving Louisiana college students. Applicants must be planning careers in one of the majors listed.  The Scholarship Program is administered by the Scholarship Committee composed of the Scholarship Chairman and four members appointed by the LGCF, Inc. president and the District Directors of each District. Adams & Bischoff, a criminal defense law firm based in Charleston, SC, proudly announces the Against All Odds Scholarship. With the rise in tuition costs across the country, many students struggle to pay for their education. We want to do our part to change that. The Elks Most Valuable Student Competition is open to current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States.  High school graduates are not eligible to apply. To raise awareness as to the causes, consequences and treatment of addiction, Seasons in Malibu is seeking to reward essay applicants $1,500 in scholarships- for students entering college or already enrolled in a higher education institution. Now in its 18th year, Operation Homefront’s Military Child of the Year® Award reflects the positive impact that these impressive young people have made on their military families, their schools, and their communities. The annual awards recognize outstanding young people ages 13 to 18. The Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is the largest undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. The United States Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation will award $1500 or $2000 scholarship grants to graduating high school seniors who will continue their education at an accredited post-secondary college or university. Scholarships of $1000 will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who will attend an accredited vocational, technical or trade school program. The award is open to graduating high school seniors in the United States, who reside in a state that has an active JCI Senate program and a scholarship chairperson. The AAPT Board of Directors offers scholarships for future high school physics teachers. These scholarships, supported by an endowment funded by Barbara Lotze, are available only to U.S. citizens attending U.S. schools.  Undergraduate students enrolled, or planning to enroll, in physics teacher preparation curricula and high school seniors entering such programs are eligible.
