The Director of Broadcasting will report to the Sr. Associate Athletic Director for Media Relations and be directly responsible for the oversight of staffing, scheduling, administrative oversight, development, video and live event production and television distribution for McNeese Athletics. This position will also assist in the administration of a Division I athletic department in a manner which is consistent with the policies of McNeese State University, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and other appropriate governing bodies (i.e. Southland Conference). This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations. Duties/Physical Demands: • Lead the vision for the Broadcasting unit through creating high-quality broadcasts that allow fans nationally and internationally to support the McNeese student-athletes in their pursuit to graduate as champions by consistently learning and growing the knowledge around the ever-changing technology landscape of broadcasting capabilities. • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Broadcasting unit, supervise temporary gameday staff members and student interns, including but not limited to the hiring, training, scheduling, inventory management and budget management for the unit. • Oversee the development, production and streaming production, distribution for McNeese Athletics. This includes producing a variety of video content, but main focus will be on managing at least 75 ESPN+ events. Other promotional materials include: intro videos, image spots, commercials, press conferences, television series, and sports highlight reels. • Oversee the Broadcast/Video Production schedule, including but not limited to, game broadcasts, weekly press conferences, coaches shows, interview series, student-athlete features, etc. • Work closely with conference office, McNeese Athletic Foundation and other partners weekly or on an as needed basis during the sport season to ensure broadcast expectations (technical and sound quality) are carried out, see that affiliate agreements are properly fulfilled. • Recruit, hire, staff and train personnel (temporary staff and students) for all productions. • Shoot, edit, load video for ESPN+ • Manage all personnel issues, including changes and needs for production. • Troubleshoot and problem solve all technical issues with production equipment. This may include repairs to equipment or fixing any long-term issues with equipment. • Organize, archive and store all game footage for all sports for McNeese Athletics. • Work with McNeese’s Social Media team in content creation for other areas of McNeese’s Athletic Department. • This position will be asked to work many late nights and weekends. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Associate Athletic Director.

- Two to three years of experience in live broadcast production and video editing
- Strong technical background in video engineering , live streaming support and electrical connectivity
- Experience in managing a staff
- Experience in lighting, set design, audio engineering
- Previous IT, live video production experience
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of lighting , cabling and equipment management
- Experience with technical or engineering operation of all video displays at athletic venues (i.e. video boards)
- Experience in a problem-solving environment in both technical and creative means for projects
- Strong organizational skills
