2.14.4. Suspension

A faculty member may be summarily suspended for a period not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days upon acquiescence of the faculty member to dismissal, until completion of a review hearing, whichever occurs first, upon a finding of the President that there is good cause to believe that

  • the continued presence on the grounds of the University would endanger the safety or well–being of the faculty member or other members of the University community;
  • the continued functioning of the faculty member in the position would substantially impair or substantially disrupt the normal functions of the University.

Salary and benefits shall remain in force during the term of any suspension.
